Ashleigh is an award winning comedy director and writer. She is the proud recipient of the 2019 HBO Women in Comedy Audience Award for Parent Teacher Conference and the 2018 semi-finalist in the NBCUniversal Shorts Fest for Girl Brain. She studied Filmmaking at NYFA and Emerson College, as well as sketch comedy at UCB, quickly becoming head writer and director for iO West Comedy Network. Her clients have included Funny or Die, Refinery29, and UCB. Ashleigh’s female centric stories are something she brings to all of her work. Her comedic shorts Planned Parenthood Going out of Business, Company Video and Monthly Beauty Box by Trump were featured on WhoHaha, Funny or Die and tweeted by Elizabeth Banks. Her feature script, “The Life of Fat Girls,” placed in the Austin Film Festival, while several shorts have been finalists in the LA Funny Women’s Festival, The Austin Short Comedy Fest, the Colorado Short Circuit Film Fest, the Philly Short Comedy Fest, and the Houston Short Comedy Fest. She is currently in pre-production on her latest Short film, “Kill Me?” But Her greatest accomplishment remains at age 8 when she taught her guinea pig to roller-skate. Butterscotch died the very next day.
